I got the sign modeled and mostly textured, but it seems the exporter only works on 3ds Max 2019 and older while Autodesk only offers 3dsMax 2020 (the remove all older versions from the web for some dumb reason). After I found out that Giants offers an exporter plugin for 3ds Max, I tried the same thing with a highway sign for FS19. To do so, I used Sketchup to build the model, which I then imported into 3ds Max for final texturing, and then imported into the game. I am not very good at modeling, but have managed to make some models and get them into a mod for Cities: Skylines. Before long, I started looking into modding, specifically maps and items used for them (such as roads and signage). I started playing FS19 a couple weeks ago when it was free on Epic Games (which I only ever use when they have an interesting game for free).
